Peak District - Black Clough - July 2010

Walk description: This is not a route walk as such, but more an exploration scramble of Black Clough. Black Clough is a brook which is a tributary of the river Etherow in the Longdendale valley. Black Clough brook is fed by three smaller brooks flowing off Bleaklow hill. The three smaller brooks are Near Black Clough, Middle Black Clough and Far Black Clough. The colour of the water is brown from the peat through which it is filtered. So far I only have photos of Middle Black Clough and the main Black Clough. Please see photos below.
